Tastecard is the UK’s largest dining destination with over 6000 partner restaurants! They have over 25 national chain restaurants that include 2,000+ individual locations, as well as 4,000+ local independent restaurants. How does it work?
Tastecard is probably the easiest service I ever signed up for! When registering you just fill out your personal details like any other purchase: name, email, address, payment details etc. and your card will be on the way!
With standard delivery it will take 3-5 working days for your Tastecard to arrive, you can choose a faster delivery service when signing up for the card. If you want to use the deals instantly, you can download the app. Read more about the app below.
Once you are ready to go with your card, simply browse restaurants you fancy dining at. Note that at a lot of restaurants you will need to make a booking and notify them you have a Tastecard before showing up. This is down to restaurants’ individual policies. When at the restaurant, show your Tastecard (either on your app or physical card) to enjoy the discount – easy as!
How much does it cost?
There are two options when buying a Tastecard: monthly or annually. It’s pretty obvious what this means, but I’ll explain it.
With a Monthly membershp you pay monthly to allow you to spread the cost. You can get a monthly Tastecard for £4.99. You get exactly the same deals as an Annual memership, it just gives you more flexibility to use it only for the months you need it. For example, if you know that in December you will be eating/drinking out a lot enjoying the festivities, you can buy a Tastecard for one month and cancel for Dry January!
The Annual membership is a rolling membership that you pay per year. Note that this auto-renews so if you want to cancel/not continue for a new year, you need to contact Tastecard before the renewal date. You can find the contact details for Tastecard below.
So how much do you save by buying an Annual membership? Well, considering the monthly deal is now on offer for £4.99 a month and the Annual for £39.99, you will save about £20 in one year. It’s up to you to decide whether an annual commitment is worth it for you.
Tastecard have done the maths and the average saving is £18.88 per use. That means if you buy an Annual Membership, you only need to use your card 2 times to basically get your money’s worth!

Note: Please check with individual resurants, but most will only allow the deal on eat in – takeaways do not qualify for the discounts.
When can you use the offers?
Most resturants accept the discounts 7 days a week. Again, check individual restaurants before you go as some might have restrictions on weekends or celebration days. For example, Pizza Express, Zizzi and Coal Grill and Bar do not accept the discounts on Friday and Saturday.
Keep in mind that some restaurants do not allow the discounts to be used with sharing platters and/or set menus.
Can you get any discounts when signing up for Tastecard?
Tastecard currently offer a discount on their Annual membership: Annual for £39.99 instead of £79.99 – see above for the offer. Keep checking the website for current offers and discounts!

You can download the app for free on Android or iOS. The tastecard app has three tabs:
- My Tastecard: this is where you can see your digital card, membership details and more. The app also allows you to track your card savings! I love this feature because it allows you to calculate how much you have saved.
- Discover: you can browse different restaurants and offers they have for you. Search by location or restaurant name, by day and offer that you are looking for.
- Plus: Browse discounts on the cinema, hotels, days out and much much more!
