Hi, I’m Caroline, welcome to my blog! This is where I share travel ideas, deals, lifestyle tips and lots more.
If you’ve come to this page, it’s likely you want to know a bit more about me. Or you’ve just clicked on the wrong button – but you’re here now anyway so you may as well keep reading!
I think you’ve figured out from the map below that I am originally from The Netherlands, a tiny country in Northwestern Europe. On this map I’ve marked all the ‘important’ places to me. Let’s go through these chronologically. (You came here to find out more about me: I absolutely love making lists!)
• Joure: I was born here in 1994 and lived for 16 years. My parents still live here so I go back very often! It’s a beautiful area of the country, with a lot of lakes and sailboats!
• Utrecht: this is my favourite place in The Netherlands! I studied Journalism here from age 16 onwards. I always recommend this city for those who want to visit ‘my’ country but are not too keen on Amsterdam.
• Groningen: the biggest city near where I grew up, so spent a lot of time there. I also lived here for a year! My sister (the best person in the world) lives here now, so I visit regularly. A large student city with more bikes than people.
• Amsterdam: of course the capital city. My boyfriend and I spend a lot of time here when we visit, as it’s easy to travel from/to. Gorgeous place!
When I was 19 I decided to jump over the pond and move over to the UK. I lived in London for 5 years and in that time got a BA degree in English Literature (from Goldsmiths University). Now I spend most my time on this website creating/updating content, and whatever time is left I use to plan my next trip! Currently I’m most invested in discovering more of Europe; you don’t always need to go far to see beautiful things.
Have you got content you want to share, blog opportunities or want to know more about me? I’d love to hear from you! I’ve got a media kit to share with you and am always up for a chat. Please get in touch on [email protected] or slide into my DM’s on Twitter.
Hope you enjoy my site!
