Mini Cruises
The idea of a cheap mini cruise personally really appeals to me! If you haven’t tried out cruising before or only have a couple days off, you can embark on a mini cruise with DFDS. There are two routes available:
- Newcastle to Amsterdam
- Copenhagen and Oslo
You won’t be bored on the cruise ships, as they have got plenty of entertainment and facilities! With multiple restaurants, shopping, live entertainment and a dedicated Kids’ Club, the cruise is a fantastic expierence for all members of the family.
There are multiple cabins available for booking, ranging from standard inside cabins to ‘commodore’ cabins with private balconies.
Cruise packages include coach transfers from/to the ferry port and city centre.

Whether you are holidaying in the Netherlands or using it as a port to another destination, you can easily take the ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam with DFDS. With prices from £73 per person, it doesn’t have to break the bank either! How to Book
Booking your ferry with DFDS is very easy. Simply to to the website and fill in the fields of what ferry service you need, when and for how many passengers/vehicles. The website will show you the cabin options and prices.
You will get six screens before your booking is complete:
- Start: this is where you choose the route, dates, passengers and vehicle you will be travelling with.
- Cabins: your options for the cabin booking on the ferry, there are standard, sea veiw and premium cabins.
- Meals: you can pre-order your meals for the restaurants.
- Extras: Any add-ons you want to book for your trip, including insurance and entertainment at your destination.
- Passenger information: This is where you need to fill in your personal details and those of your passengers.
- Payment: The final piece of your booking where you need to make payment for your chosen ferry service.
