Why camping is a romantic couples holiday

When you imagine a romantic holiday you might think of being fed grapes by the pool or a luxury hotel suite. But have you ever considered a camping holiday could be romantic? Yes, really! A camping adventure can bring you closer together and strengthen the relationship with your partner. If you don’t believe us, keep reading to be convinced.

You will feel closer together

Being in nature has a way of making you feel closer to the people around you. At home you have plenty of space to ‘avoid’ each other, but when you are camping you are spending a lot of time together. In a 3-man tent you will have to snuggle up because of the limited space, whilst keeping enough space for your personal belongings. And spending time in a car together driving to your campsite gives you quality ‘roadtrip’ time! Enjoying a long breakfast at your camping picnic table, playing boardgames, roasting marshmellows by the fire – these are all activities you probably don’t do on a daily basis at home. On a camping holiday you will really have time to ‘rediscover’ your partner.

Watching sunrises, sunsets and stargazing is naturally romantic

Being close to nature is most people’s favourite thing about camping. Exploring the outdoors and going back to basics is a great thing to do every now and then. If you are an early riser you and your partner can enjoy a sunrise with a fresh cup of coffee. Make sure you are comfy with a premium camping chair from Trail Outdoor Leisure. If you prefer a lie-in, catch the sunset from a nearby viewpoint, maybe with a glass of wine. When it gets to nighttime and the sky is dark, what’s more romantic than spending an evening gazing at the stars? Chat about all things big and small and of course make wishes when you see a shooting star. For the most enjoyable experience, make sure you find a best tent with screen room to enjoy sunrises, sunets and stargazing.

You will get out of the daily routine

You know that most of the time life goes on without you even realising it. Days go by and before you know it weeks have come and gone! A weekly date night promise might be substituted for a ready meal on the sofa. Chats mostly revolve around what happened at your work today and things might not always feel as romantic. But stepping out of this routine and enjoying a bit of time of work will help you and your partner make time for romantic chats and activities!

It’s cheaper than most other holidays

This might not sound very romantic, but it’s important to consider before going on holiday. You don’t want to stretch your finances as this can make things tense in a relationship! Camping is generally a cheaper type of holiday than most others, even if you still have to purchase most of the camping supplies. For example, camping gear from Trail Outdoor Leisure is premium quality, but still affordable. Enjoy a home-cooked meal from your camping stove or go for a picnic lunch at a nearby viewpoint! You can have a romantic time on a budget.
