Ras al Khaimah is the most northern emirate of the United Arab Emirates. Known for its beautiful beaches and hot weather, this is a great location for a sunny holiday. There are some great options to visit Ras Al Khaimah with Destination2 as package a holiday in a luxury resort. But what more does this city have to offer? Mostly, tourists like to explore the large selection of restaurants with cuisines from all over the world. We have done some research on the best places to eat in Ras al Khaimah and found the following:

Like most places in UAE, restaurants in Ras al Khaimah are usually located in hotels. No worries, you do not have to be a guest to this specific hotel to be able to eat at the restaurant, they welcome everyone.

Marjan

Located in the Waldorf Astoria, Marjan celebrates the Middle-Eastern culture with their Lebanese menu and decor. Everything is freshly prepared and the saffron hummous is a famous dish that can’t be missed. We recommend you start with cold mezze and then continue with hot mezze, this can all be shared with all your dinner guests and is a great way of exploring the Lebanese cuisine.

Lexington Grill

It seems like the Waldorf has all the best restaurants, as the Lexington Grill is part of this hotel too. This steakhouse has the best of both worlds, as it incorporates the classic US-style steaks with the interior of the Middle-East. A great space for a special occasion, with undoubtedly the best steak you will ever have.

Old Town

Okay, this is not so much a restaurant, but in the Old Town of Ras al Khaimah the shops and bakeries are the best. From traditional Arab flatbreads and many kinds of sweets and pastries from the Middle Eastern culture to the freshest mangos, coconuts and pineapples, all are easily found when you just take a casual stroll around the old town. To really explore UAE, this should definitely be on your list to do on your holiday.

UMI

In the mood for Japanese? This restaurant transports you to Japan, and with their two (!) live-cooking stations you can see everything being freshly made. And if great food doesn’t convince you: UMI have the largest collection of Sake in the UAE. This restaurant is suitable for all guests, from vegetarian to meat-eaters and of course best for fish-lovers. The miso black cod is a must-try.

Basilico

Ras al Khaimah really does have it all: cuisines from all over, even Mediterreanen. Located in the The Cove Rotana resort, this restaurant serves the cuisine with a twist. Of course there are the classic pastas and pizzas on the menu, but why not explore more interesting dishes such as a pan fried veal scaloppini? The restaurant overlooks the sea and has some of the best views of the area. A lovely spot to explore over lunch, but also very suitable for dinner.
