Valentine’s day is approaching fast, just as our pockets are recovering from the chaotic festivities of Christmas and New Year’s Eve. It’s no time for panic however, because February is about the celebration of love whether that be with someone, or just loving the fact that you are happily single and it’s no secret that there is a lot of fun to be had in Manchester, particularly when it comes to being a little romantic, even if it is just for one night only. From stunning panoramic views and alfresco dining on rooftops, to creative cocktails and romantic strolls, Manchester is a city that promises the perfect Valentine’s day plans that everyone can enjoy.

A Churro Breakfast for Two

If you’re a morning person, then you really can’t get any more romantic than sharing a naughty but nice breakfast treat of churros coated in crunchy cinnamon sugar, dipped into a thick, creamy hot chocolate pot. Iberica located in Spinningfields is uses a traditional family recipe dating back to the 17th century for their chocolate which makes the perfect dipping sauce for the churro, and drinking sauce for yourself when there are no churros left to dip. To avoid any Valentine’s day squabbles, it may be a safer option ordering two portions if sharing food isn’t your thing.
