Europcar are encouraging customers to book through their mobile by offering an exclusive mobile discount. The current deal means that you can get 10% off your Europcar booking when the transaction takes place on the iOS or Android app.

One Way Car Hire (for just £1)
It costs car hire companies like Europcar money to transport vehicles between their different locations. With this in mind, Europcar have come up with a clever product for customers who are tripping between cities.
£1 OneWay Hire from Europcar costs, as you can guess, just £1! It may sound too good to be true so here are the details you need to know:
- You have up to 24hrs to complete the journey so there is no rush
- You have a generous 550 mile built-in allowance to make the trip
- Europcar will pick the car for you but all cars are Economy size and above
- The tank will be full when you pick up the vehicle and you need drop it off at the same level
- Basic insurance is included
- You can cancel for free up to 24hrs before your pickup time
Europcar Student Discount (15%)
Students can save money with a Europcar promo code. Through the StudentBeans service, students can save up to 15% on their booking. This is particularly useful if you are transporting yourself and/or belongings between home and university.

How much is the Europcar deposit?
I haven’t seen a car hire company that doesn’t take a holding deposit when you drive away from their depots and you can’t blame them! Try to take a credit card with you for these holding deposits as it makes the process much easier and the hold on your card is lifted much quicker than debit cards.

Guidelines from Europcar state that it can take up to 10 days from the end of your hire for the funds to be returned to your account. In my experience car hire companies get it back much quicker than this and you should contact your bank if it isn’t credited on the 10th day.

- The points are added to your account 8 weeks after your rental is complete
