Whether you are a frequent traveller, or only book travel once in a blue moon, membership programs can be very rewarding. However, it is important to know how they work exactly, to be able to get the most value out of them. Most membership programs have benefits that you don’t even know about! At breaks.com we like to do research and provide you with an overview of these memberships and this time we are unravelling the Expedia+ program. What is it, how do you sign up and what are its benefits?
What is the Expedia+ membership?
The Expedia+ program was announced in 2017 and stated it could ‘earn as much as £200 in cash back on a family holiday’. The membership is completely free to join, and the main benefit is that you receive two points for every £1 spent. These points can be used to save money on your next booking. Additionally, Expedia offers ‘secret’ promotions and offers for their members, which you can only see if you are logged into your member account. They have a three-tier system: blue, silver and gold. As a newly joining member, you immediately gain blue status. Spend £5,000 on eligible bookings and receive silver status. Gold status is earned after spending a whopping £10,000. And considering the points expire after 18 months, yes, this program may be more valuable to frequent travellers.
How do you sign up?
You can sign up through this link, either by creating an account or by using your existing Facebook-account. Signing up for this program is completely free, and by having a Expedia+ account, you will receive special offers and discounts.
