Ticket types at The View From The Shard

General admission
This is the standard entry ticket that has different price brackets for children (4-15) and adults (16+) as well as disabled and family options. This ticket gives you access to the 72nd viewing platform without any time limits on your stay and a guaranteed free return if the clouds get in the way of your view!
At this height, you can see across London and beyond with a 40 miles panoramic view from this incredible structure. With so much to see, the friendly staff are on hand to help you understand what you are looking at and taking pictures of! Can you buy shard tickets on the day?
Tickets can be bought on the day of your visit but have to be booked in advance of turning up. This is mainly because you need to secure your slot. You are unable to get discounted tickets on the day and the best prices are typically available when you book more than 14 days in advance.

There are 2 virtual reality experiences that you can test your nerve with while 800ft in the air. Tickets for the Virtual Reality at The View From The Shard can be bought in advance online or on the day of your visit. There is a £10 surcharge to a general admission ticket and is worth every penny!

Day and night experience at The Shard
There is never a bad time of day to take in the extensive views on offer from The Shard but this day & night ticket is the best way to see the best of both worlds. During the day you can see the 40 mile panoramic views and at night you can see the very special spectacle of London lit up at night.
The main restriction of this ticket is that you need a 3 hour break between visits. This gives you time to enjoy London (see our guide to London for inspiration) and then return ready to be amazed by how the same view is now so different.

Directions
The Shard is conveniently located at London Bridge train and tube station. When you arrive at the station, the entrance to The View experience is well signposted and you will be directed to the dedicated entrance. Tube/train is by far the best way to arrive at The Shard as there are no drop-off or parking spaces on-site.
