You might be aware that we recently adopted a dog! This means that we are generally looking to holiday in dog friendly places, ranging from hotels to campsites. Eurocamp are a popular camping holiday provider, with destinations in 10 European countries. Earlier we wrote a guide about Eurocamp (that includes discounted offers too!). We will now have a look at the nicest dog friendly parks from Eurocamp.
La Ranolien, North Brittany
If you are reading to North Brittany with your four-legged friend, then Le Ranolien is a wonderful campsite to visit. It’s only 69km away from the Roscoff ferry port which is great if (like me) you don’t love driving too far. There are spectacular walks along the Pink Granite Coast and there is a dog-friendly beach by Trébeurden. You can’t miss out on a visit to Ploumanac’h, known as one of France’s prettiest villages and is only the next village over from the campsite!
If you are bringing little ones they will be happy with the six (heated) swimming pools, multi lane slides and waterfalls. There is a big range of entertainment on site, like a kids’ club and disco as well as adult evening entertainment. A great holiday for everyone!
Criques de Porteils, Roussillon
The south of France has a lot to offer, like the breathtaking views from our next choice: Criques the Porteils. With snow-peaked mountains contrasting the azur-blue sea, you won’t get bored of the views here! If your dog likes a swim then the beach St Vincent is a perfect place to visit. There is also direct access to private coves where you can try out paddle boarding, go for a swim yourself or enjoy a spot of fishing.
Valle Gaia, Tuscany
Tuscany is one of our favourite places to enjoy a (dog-friendly) holiday! The area is so lush and this park reflects that, as it is surrounded by trees. The park is situated in the Tuscan countryside where you can enjoy visits to nearby hilltop villages – your dog and yourself will get some steps in! The park has multiple pools so your children can enjoy it too. If you are a foodie then you will like the park’s traditional pizzaria and can pair this with a nice wine from the park’s own wine cellar.
Castell Montgri, Costa Brava
Spain is a popular holiday destination amongst Brits and we can see why. If you are considering a holiday to Spain then have a look at Castell Montgri. Surrounded by hills and countryside, this park will definitely give you the holiday-vibe you are looking for. There are great pools and waterslides as well as plenty of sports and entertainment facilities. The beach at Estartit is 1.5km away and enjoys a dog-friendly section where your furry friend can go for a cooling swim!
Campingpark Gitzenwieler Hof, Germany
Germany is an often underestimated holiday destination. With warm weather in the summer and beautiful scenery, it is definitely a destination worth considering. Germany is generally very dog friendly and especially at campingpark Gitzenwieler Hof your dog will have a great time. There are some gorgeous scenic walks for the entire family to enjoy. The park itself boasts great facilities like a pool complex, horse riding, fishing and multiple sports activities. If you’d like to explore you can jump on a boat for a day trip to Austria or Switzerland too!
These are our favourite dog-friendly Eurocamp parks, if you’d like to take your four-legged friend on holiday with you. You can book the holiday as you usually would, and once you’ve booked, call the Eurocamp team to add your dog to the booking! The relevant phone number is 01606 787677. All you now need to do is explore the local dog walks and pack your dog-friendly holiday essentials!
